Kristiina Siig

Kristiina Siig is a dance teacher born and raised in Tallinn. She is a certified choreographer and is currently studying folkloristics at the University of Tartu. She loves and values traditional dancing and is the leader and choreographer of the dance ensemble “Leesikad”. As such, she is constantly challenged to find common ground between folklore dance and traditional dance, integrating one with the other in a dignified and skillful way.

Seminar – Sabatants – to whom and why?

For the second time in a row it is not possible to organize and participate in the Sabatants festival as it used to be. Therefore it is a good time to reflect on why Sabatants first took place almost ten years ago in 2012 and what we expect from the festival in 2021. We will look back on the original aim and inspiration for organizing the festival and how those aspects have changed over the course of festival’s lifetime.
After a short presentation there will be an open discussion. In the studio are Leanne Barbo, Jaan Sarv, Sille Kapper and Mia Marta Ruus, everyone is welcome to participate from their homes. Discussion is moderated by Kristiina Siig.

Seminar – Sabatants – kellele ja milleks?

Juba teist kevadet ei ole võimalik korraldada Sabatantsu festivali selle tavapärasel kujul. Seega on paras moment mõtiskleda, miks üldse Sabatants 2012. aastal esmakordselt toimus ja mida talt 2021. aastal ootame. Millised olid ajendid esimese Sabatantsu korraldamiseks, kas need on ajas muutunud?
Lühikesele ettekandele järgneb vestlusring. Stuudios arutlevad Leanne Barbo, Jaan Sarv, Sille Kapper ja Mia Marta Ruus, kodudest saavad kaasa rääkida kõik huvilised. Vestlust veab Kristiina Siig.
