Tanõptür Sem (Sounds of the Tanõp river) is a folklore ensemble from Mari El Republic. One of the most known and authentic group that presents older folk songs and dances of Meadow Mari (East Mari). The ensemble was one of the leaders of Mari cultural movement on 1990-s, and they carry on the most important traditional festivities and rituals of Baškorstan Maris even today.
