The “Ieviņu Orchestra” is a project where a large group of Latvian “Ieviņas” diatonic accordion players have come together, along with nearly everyone whose instruments are tuned in the same key. Together, we will play and dance to various beautiful traditional Latvian melodies and celebrate that an instrument, which was nearly extinct just 15 years ago, is now revived and alive — thanks largely to a few masters (whom you will also see in the orchestra), but also with significant inspiration and support from many Estonian musicians and friends.
