The ensemble Sounds and Stories from Ruhnu Island brings to the festival audience the lively violin tunes that accompanied at the weddings of the Ruhnu Swedes. The dancer can swirl around and listen to stories about life and history of Ruhnu island. The members of the ensemble have been involved in significant projects promoting the cultural history of Ruhnu island, such as the Ruhnu Violin Camp and the Ruhnu Violin Festival. Among other things, the festival audience will be able to hear new pieces from the ensemble’s upcoming album for the first time!
