The traditional dance festival Sabatants will take place for the 12th time this spring, and it will have a coastal Estonian Swede theme. We will learn dances from the islands of Vormsi, Ruhnu, and Pakri. As has become customary, Sabatants offers the opportunity to delve into some foreign dance traditions as well. This year, we turn our attention to the lesser-known and mysterious region of Upper Brittany and dive into the world of Gallo-speaking dance songs. Accompanied with the best local dance musicians.
In addition to dances and music, a coastal Estonian-Swede-themed exhibition will also be brought to the festival venues specifically for the duration of the festival!
